Ryan Specialty Holdings Inc. said Wednesday it has hired Patrick S. McCahill as chief underwriting officer of Suitelife Underwriting Managers, its managing general agent focused on hotels, resorts and hotel management.
Prior to joining Suitelife in the newly created role, Mr. McCahill was president of St. James Insurance Group Inc., an Orlando, Florida-based program manager.
Prior to St. James, he worked at insurers FedNat Holding Co. and Universal Insurance Holdings Inc., and reinsurance brokerage TigerRisk Partners LLC.
Ryan Specialty is the third-largest specialty intermediary, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
